Any.do: To-Do List, Tasks, Calendar & Reminders App Reviews

Most used App

I use this app more than any app on my phone. I can either enter in to do items here or tell Alexa to do it for me.

I was tricked: It cost $20 just to look at the upgrade

I can see why many may like this but it still, just like Omnifocus, and several others Ive blown money on, its too tedious still. None seem as good as paper. I feel like my main daily task is to learn how to shape my life to the task manager and to enter its tedious demands. As "Wired" said recently, paper seems the preferred way for more people...and for me and for the busy people in my life. I find it tedious and not intuitive, like all the others (ok Im not as smart as many here,I admit it: thats why I prefer note cards).. It seems paradoxical to me to make my main task, daily, be using the app instead of doing tasks I can jot down and which stick in my brain as I do it. A simple reusable grocery checklist app and some 3x5 cards work best for me (and less expensive than Any.do). If I were busier Id use a Quo Vadis paper planner instead.

Loyal user for 5+ years

I love this app and I recommend it to all of my organizing clients!

My choice over many

Ive tried most of the list / note apps and I always end up here. Just the right amount of features without a steep learning curve.

Seriously...

I dig this app, except for how every time I go to use it, it tries to sneak in a monthly payment when I go to tap on something. Whack dude you guys are trash

Nice and clean

Beautiful ui and easy to use.

Best calendar and reminders together app

.

Love!

Thank you for bringing tremendous value daily!

Easy and helpful

So far so good. Easy to use and helpful to keep me organized. Using it right now with my cleaning list.

Great app but ...

Great app, but I dont use it anymore since I had a watch. Why dont you add Watch reminders, like in the Apple reminder app ?

Love/Hate Relationship

The Any.Do team is ahead of the game by adding features people are actually requesting and need. The Alexa/iOS reminders integration is a hugggge update and is very smoothly implemented (THANK YOU FOR THIS FEATURE!). It boggles my mind that this feature is not the standard for To-do apps, but I digress. The Plan My Day feature is phenomenal. I am a huge procrastinator and this makes it easy for me to plan my day without hassle and frustration. These two things are the biggest selling points for this app, and I LOVE them. However, there are some things that could be greatly improved. Firstly, the calendar portion of the app needs to be overhauled badly. I took one look at it and noped out of there back to Calendars 5. If I could just merge Calendars 5s calendar views into this app, Any.do would be THE best app for its intended purpose. Granted, I love those view options because I am a highly visual person (you may not be), and the whole month view with dots everywhere just looks cluttered and overwhelming to me. However, until there is an update to the calendar section, I will continue to ignore it and focus on the apps awesome to-do list section. The interface looks great for the most part, but I wish there were more ways to customize my viewing experience a little bit (different colors for different lists, "List" Lists view instead of the default "Tile" look, etc). One major issue for me is the way subtasks are handled in this app. It is incredibly frustrating that you cannot rearrange subtasks. Also, subtasks are much too hidden and require one too many steps to get to. Besides subtasks, I greatly wish there was a way to exclude certain lists from your "All Tasks" list and "Plan My Day" feature. I have a daily checklist with a ton of small recurring items (such as "Dont forget teeth whitening strip") that I would like to be able to consolidate into a simple "Complete Daily Checklist" under the "All Tasks" list. I would normally get around this by making a Daily Checklist task and have those small specific things subtasked, but as I stated before, the subtask feature needs to be heavily updated. These frustrations, as few as there are, are detrimental to my usage of the app and keeping me from going all in on premium for the app. However, considering the recent updates and features added, it is quite clear that the Any.Do team is in the business of listening to its customers and innovating. I have a feeling I will be back here to change my review and rating to 5 stars in the months to come. All in all, a great start to an amazing app.

The app keeps my day organized and moving along

Great App!

Long term user

Been using happily for 2 years after trial of many other list apps. Love simplicity and syncing across devices. Also build common lists (grocery) across family members--excellent app!

Any.do

Keeps me in touch with my daily and weekly plans. Love it.

Really Waw

best organizer app

Incredibly slow and unresponsive app, sub-task/notes issues

This IOS app (and the companion MacOS version) is slow, even on a brand new iPad Pro 10.5. Unusable with the constant lag and interface response issues. Importing about 450 tasks from Wunderlist worked, but to see a sub-task, you must select the task, then another icon before I can see them. Same steps required to see a tasks notes. Either way I just cant use an app this slow on such fast hardware. The Microsoft Wunderlist replacement search continues...

Good app that meets my needs

The app meets my basic needs to plan for my day. I would love if it can have location feature to remind me based of locations etc.

Wonderlist Alternative Found!

Was looking for something more reliable than Wonderlist. This app does what I want. I can assign tasks to my family with no issues. Very user intuitive. My kids had no issues navigating it. Really enjoying Any.do

Good

I have used an older version but I must assume the app is pretty ok. It can improve a bit on the visual. I will try the current version and see whats happens

Alexa sync no longer works

Alexa items no longer syncing. No response from customer service. Also what was once standard now premium - colors for example. Over priced premium structure. Lets try todoist.
